KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas - A man was arrested Thursday evening after dousing himself and two vehicles with gasoline, setting fire to one, and fighting with responding deputies.

Just before 5 p.m., a family member called police and said the 26-year-old man, identified by county jail records as Trayvian Demonze Lucky, doused a neighbor's vehicle with gasoline and set it on fire on Cedar Park Drive in Windmill Farms.

The family member attempted to tackle and subdue Lucky as he stuffed a rag down the gas tank of a second vehicle and attempted to light it on fire, Precinct 2 Constable Jason Johnson told inForney.com.

Lucky had also set fire to other miscellaneous items in the street, some of which was described as garbage, before firefighters arrived and extinguished the numerous fires.

The deputies, who were unable to use their tasers because Lucky had also doused himself in gasoline, fought to subdue him and eventually placed him under arrest.

Despite Lucky's efforts to light himself on fire, Johnson says no serious injuries were reported in the incident.

Lucky was transported to an area hospital as a precaution after he began vomiting and exhibiting other medical symptoms from possibly ingesting gasoline, according to Johnson.

Johnson says both vehicles were seemingly targeted at random. Investigators, with assistance from the Forney Fire Department and Kaufman County Fire Marshal's Office, remain on scene processing evidence.

Lucky faces charges for arson, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and possible other charges, according to Johnson.
