KAUFMAN, Texas — A man was arrested Saturday morning following a slow-speed pursuit in eastern Kaufman County.

KAUFMAN, Texas — A man was arrested Saturday morning following a slow-speed pursuit in eastern Kaufman County.

Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Fred Klingelberger says the suspect, identified by jail records as 25-year-old Tyler Wayne Stinson, refused to stop for police, fleeing at approximately 25 miles per hour.

Stinson allegedly stopped on County Road 103 near Ola’s Country Store, just off of State Highway 243 in eastern Kaufman County, and began fighting the pursuing Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Klingelberger says no injuries were reported in the incident.

Stinson was jailed on a charge of assaulting a public servant and is being held on a $75,000 bond, evading arrest of detention with a vehicle on a $75,000 bond, and possession of marijuana less than two ounces on a $5,000 bond.
