TERRELL, Texas — A man is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times in the back on Wednesday in Terrell.
TERRELL, Texas — A man is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times in the back on Wednesday in Terrell.
Just before 12:20 p.m., the Terrell Police Department and Terrell Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Bethlehem in reference to an assault involving a stabbing.
There, police found 18-year-old Jalen Markel Newsome suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back, according to Terrell Police Department Corporal Z. Boyd.
Newsome was transported to the Terrell Municipal Airport by ground ambulance where he was further transported by CareFlite medical helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He is currently listed in stable condition, according to Boyd.
"Further investigation revealed that the suspect was 23 year-old Artavion Quo'sean Henderson," stated Boyd.
Henderson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is awaiting a bond hearing.
