CRANDALL, Texas — A 21-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a brief police pursuit in Heartland on Sunday night.
Crandall Police Department Chief Dean Winters says a police officer attempted to stop a white, four-door 2012 Honda Accord for a traffic violation at the intersection of Red Rock Drive and Moonlight Trail when the vehicle failed to yield to the officer.
The brief pursuit ended just blocks away in the 2000 block of Club Oak Drive, also in Heartland.
“The subject, ultimately identified as Decamian Karee Johnson, was charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, fail to ID fugitive, and possession of marijuana,” stated Winters.
“Johnson was also arrested on warrants out of Tarrant County for burglary of a habitation and possession of marijuana,” he said.
Johnson was later booked into the Kaufman County Jail where he is being held, at the time of this report, on no bond for the Tarrant County charges and $12,500 in total bonds on the Crandall Police Department charges.
