KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Kaufman County man was arrested yesterday after leaving a death threat voice message on a Kaufman County Commissioner’s phone.
Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Captain Fred Klingelberger says the man, identified as Roger Dwayne Cummings, left a message on Kaufman County Precinct 1 Commissioner Jimmy Joe Vrzalik’s phone messaging system.
Klingelberger says the threats were made due to a lack of work being done on a county road where the Cummings lives and concerns an ambulance or other emergency vehicles may not be able to drive on the road.
Sources tell inForney.com, Cummings allegedly threatened to “cut his throat” and “drag him” down the road.
Klingelberger says Cummings has been charged with harassment. Kaufman County Jail records indicate Cummings had posted bond and was released as of Tuesday afternoon.
This is a developing story.
