TERRELL, Texas — A man was arrested on multiple warrants and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Terrell on Friday.
On September 30, 2016, at 1:43 p.m., Terrell Police Department narcotics investigators observed 25-year-old Steven Rosado operating a black Chevrolet Impala, according to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom. Investigators were aware of active warrants for Rosado and also received prior information Rosdao may be selling illegal narcotics in the city of Terrell.
“Rosado was stopped, the active warrants confirmed, and he was arrested,” stated Sansom.
“Search incident to arrest was conducted on the vehicle,” stated Sansom. “Inside, a plastic baggie was located behind the front passenger seat containing twelve clear baggies, individually packaged for sale, of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.”
The contents of the baggies weighed 40 grams.
Rosado was arrested on 10 total active warrants and a new charge for possession of marijuana less than two ounces. Rosado is being held at the Kaufman County Jail on bonds totaling $79,832.20.
Rosado’s warrants include six traffic warrants out of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, two traffic warrants out of the Terrell Police Department, and warrants from the Terrell Police Department for possession of marijuana greater than four ounces and less than five pounds and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
