FORNEY, Texas — A Forney man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after striking a guardrail and crashing down into a creek on Tuesday night.
FORNEY, Texas — A Forney man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after striking a guardrail and crashing down into a creek on Tuesday night.
At 8 p.m., the Forney Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Bowie Street at the Mustang Creek after a woman called 911 reporting the crash, telling dispatchers she was inside the vehicle when the driver, reportedly intoxicated, crashed into the creek.
The driver and another male reportedly ran from the scene of the crash.
Police canvassed the area and located a man on Woodbury Drive, a short distance from his reported last known address. He was identified by the female as the driver, arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and taken to Baylor, Scott & White for a blood draw.
The female was also taken into custody on unknown charges.
A wrecker winched the vehicle from the creek and towed it from the scene.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
