KEMP, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting which left a man critically injured on Sunday.
Just before 3:30 p.m., the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the 11000 block of County Road 4020 in reference to a 37-year-old man who was shot in the upper body after an altercation with another individual, according to Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart.
The injured man was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Stewart says no charges have been filed at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
