MESQUITE, Texas ā Two men are sought in an aggravated robbery after spraying a female clerk and burglarizing a Mesquite store's bitcoin machine.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the two individuals.
The Mesquite Police Department released surveillance video today of the robbery which occurred on March 28, 2018.
According to Mesquite Police Department Lt. Brian Parrish, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the man entered the Exxon located at 2212 Oats Drive, approached the clerk, and sprayed her with pepper spray.
"While the clerk was distracted, a second suspect burglarized the sotre's Bitcoin machine," he said.
Both fled the store in an unidentified vehicle.
Earlier in March, the Irving Police Department reported a similar robbery in which two men entered a convenience store, sprayed the clerk with "bear" spray, and burglarized the store's Bitcoin machine.
