MESQUITE, Texas — A Forney woman, who is a teacher at a Mesquite Independent School District (ISD) high school, was arrested earlier today at the school for an alleged improper relationship with an 18-year-old student, the Mesquite Police Department stated in a news release.
MESQUITE, Texas — A Forney woman, who is a teacher at a Mesquite Independent School District (ISD) high school, was arrested earlier today at the school for an alleged improper relationship with an 18-year-old student, the Mesquite Police Department stated in a news release.
Police say a member of the Mesquite ISD administration contacted a school resource officer Thursday morning concerning a tip they had received about a Poteet High School teacher, identified by the Mesquite Police Department as 40-year-old Deanna Reese of Forney, Texas, having “sexual relations” with an 18-year-old male student who attends the same school.
The offense is alleged to have occurred on April 10, 2015, stated a press release.
Investigators interviewed the victim and collected evidence which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant for Reese who was arrested Thursday, May 14, 2015, at school earlier today. Reese was charged with one count of improper relationship between an educator and a student and held on a $25,000 bond.
