MESQUITE, Texas — The Mesquite Police Department is asking for assistance identifying a man who robbed a Mesquite bank earlier today, October 15, 2015.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., the Mesquite Police Department received a report of a robbery at Patriot Bank which is located at 1438 Oates Drive, according to Mesquite Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Brian Parrish.
“Tellers said that the suspect entered the bank, brandished a gun, and demanded money from two of the tellers,” stated Parrish. “After receiving the money the suspect ran from the bank and rode away on a bicycle.”
The suspect left the bank parking lot going south on Northwest Drive. Police searched the nearby neighborhoods and utilized a Texas Department of Public Safety but were unable to locate the individual.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, slender build, wearing a red long sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black mask, black gloves, and a white helmet.
