TERRELL, Texas — A 55-year-old Terrell man was arrested early Thursday morning after members of the Terrell Police Department and Forney Police Department SWAT teams executed a narcotics search warrant at his home and discovered a pound of marijuana.
TERRELL, Texas — A 55-year-old Terrell man was arrested early Thursday morning after members of the Terrell Police Department and Forney Police Department SWAT teams executed a narcotics search warrant at his home and discovered a pound of marijuana.
At approximately 5:48 a.m., the Terrell and Forney police department SWAT teams and Terrell Police Department narcotics investigators executed the search warrant at the residence in the 500 block of North Blanche Street.
The residents, 55-year-old James L. Lee and his wife were detained upon officer entry into the home.
“James was advised of his rights by Narcotics Investigators and the valid search warrant for the residence based on the sale of marijuana from this house,” stated Sansom. “Lee voluntarily confessed that he had about a pound of marijuana in a container in his bedroom.”
Investigators located the container which also contained a large digital scale and several “distribution” size baggies. Additionally, investigators located marijuana joints, other smaller amounts of marijuana, baggies, a scale, and marijuana grinders at various locations throughout the residence, according to Sansom.
“James advised Narcotics Investigators that accepted all the responsibility for the marihuana,” stated Sansom.
Lee was transported to the Terrell Detention Center where he was charged with possession of marijuana greater than four ounces and less than five pounds. Lee’s wife has not been charged at this time, according to Sansom.
