TERRELL, Texas — One person was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital from Baylor, Scott & White hospital in Forney following a shooting incident in Terrell on Friday night.

TERRELL, Texas — One person was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital from Baylor, Scott & White hospital in Forney following a shooting incident in Terrell on Friday night.

Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom says the incident originated in the 800 block of San Jacinto in Terrell, Texas, where, for yet to be determined reasons, a female shot a 22-year-old male in the chest.

The male was identified as Marcus Lopez Antunez of Terrell, Texas.

Sansom says Antunez was transported by private vehicle to Baylor, Scott & White hospital in Forney, Texas, where he was treated and further transported by medical helicopter to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

The female suspect fled the scene of the incident in Terrell in a dark-colored SUV and remains at large, according to Sansom.

The Forney Police Department and Terrell Police Department resounded to Baylor, Scott & White hospital after Antunez was brought into the emergency room seeking treatment. Police have cordoned off a vehicle in the parking lot.

Sansom says investigators are in the early stages of the investigation.
