SEAGOVILLE, Texas — Two people were arrested following the report of a burglary of a vehicle at a local Seagoville business, the department stated in a release.
On Monday night, July 20, 2015, a woman reported her purse being stolen out of her vehicle while she was shopping. The vehicle was left unlocked.
Seagoville police officers spotted the vehicle later that night and performed a traffic stop — arresting two individuals in the car and recovering the stolen purse.
Police identified the two suspects as 28-year-old Ezequiel Escamilla of Dallas, Texas, and 31-year-old Ashley Jones of Balch Springs, Texas. Both were arrested and charged with one count of burglary of a vehicle.
“The Seagoville Police Department reminds you to be aware by locking your car and hiding your valuables inside out of plain view,” stated Sergeant Steve Davis.
