ROCKWALL, Texas — Two suspects were arrested on Friday for a robbery of a Zales Jewelry store in Rockwall, Texas, earlier this week.
The Rockwall Police Department credits local media coverage of the robbery for helping lead to the identification of the two suspects — identified as 31-year-old James Glen Wallace and 20-year-old Clayton Michael Duckworth — who were arrested on Friday in Dallas, Texas, having been located by the United States Marshals Service and the Texas Rangers.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the pair entered the Zales location in the 900 block of Interstate 30 and began looking at jewelry. Minutes later, one of the suspects jumped over the jewelry counter, assaulted a female employee, and fled with an undetermined amount of jewelry — as seen in the video below.
The men were also suspected in a similar robbery in Sherman, Texas, according to the Rockwall Police Department.
“The Rockwall Police Department would like to thank the public and local news media outlets for your assistance as well as the Sherman Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, the United States Marshal’s Service and the Texas Rangers for their assistance in identifying and capturing both suspects in this case,” stated the department.
Wallace and Duckworth have both been charged with theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000 on $50,000 bonds out of Grayson County and robbery which is pending arraignment on Rockwall charges.

Both are described as being in their mid to late 20’s, suspect one was described as being 5’10” wearing all black clothing and suspect two as being 6’0”, thin build, wearing a red shirt and khaki shorts. Employees reported that suspect two exited the store and within a few minutes suspect one jumped over a counter and hit a female employee before fleeing with an undetermined amount of jewelry.
