FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating a mid-day armed robbery at Jackrabbit Quick Stop.
Just before noon, on Monday, January 7, 2019, the Forney Police Department received a 911 call from a clerk who had fled to a neighboring business after an armed robbery at Jackrabbit Quick Stop, which is located in downtown Forney.
The suspected entered the store, demanded the clerk open the cash drawer, jumped the counter and retrieved the cash, and then fled the store.
The clerk sustained a head injury in the incident.
The suspect was last seen running southbound on South Bois D' Arc Street.
The male suspect is described as short and slender, his race is unknown, and he was wearing a black hoodie, a black ski mask, black gloves, and blue jeans.
The Forney Police Department is investigating.
