KAUFMAN, Texas — The reward for a fugitive wanted in connection with a 2002 murder in Kaufman County has been increased to $10,000 for the month of May.

KAUFMAN, Texas — The reward for a fugitive wanted in connection with a 2002 murder in Kaufman County has been increased to $10,000 for the month of May.

36-year-old Israel Aguirre, of Dallas, Texas, was added to the Texas Department of Public Safety's (DPS) “Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives” list in 2014.

Aguirre is wanted for murder in connection with a 2002 homicide in Kaufman County. He was subsequently arrested and charged for murder in 2002 but was deported before standing trial.

In 2005, Aguirre was again arrested in the United States and attended several court appearances in Kaufman County before absconding. According to court records, a warrant was originally issued in 2005 for Aguirre. Two other warrants were issued in 2007 for his arrest out of Kaufman County on the murder charge.

Aguirre has ties to the Dallas area, according to DPS. His criminal history includes the Kaufman County murder charge, theft, and prostitution.

Aguirre is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He has tattoos on his chest and left arm. He also may go by the aliases Israel Aguirre Jaimez, Israel Aguirre-Jaimez, or Israel Jaimez Carmona.
