MESQUITE, Texas — A reward up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment for a man who robbed the BBVA Compass Bank in Mesquite, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon.

MESQUITE, Texas — A reward up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment for a man who robbed the BBVA Compass Bank in Mesquite, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Mesquite Police Department responded to the bank, located at 801 West Kearney Street, at approximately 2:01 p.m., because a man entered the bank and demanded money from the teller and fled the location, Mesquite Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Brian Parrish stated in a Wednesday morning press release.

The man fled in a black Ford Focus sedan. “A dye pack exploded inside the suspect’s vehicle as he was fleeing the area, causing him to throw some of the money out of the window as he fled the scene,” stated Parrish.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 5’10”, 210 pounds. The man was wearing a black hoodie, black wig, and a fake beard and sunglasses.

No injuries were reported during the robbery and the suspect did not display any weapons.
