KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office issued a scam alert on Tuesday for a man posing as a Kaufman County employee and is soliciting money for driveway repair.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office issued a scam alert on Tuesday for a man posing as a Kaufman County employee and is soliciting money for driveway repair.
The department says the man was reportedly approaching homeowners on Bryon Road in Precinct 1, claimed to work for Kaufman County, and offered to repave their driveway at a reduced rate.
The man was described as a white male, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, approximately 6-feet tall, with a slim build, and a missing front tooth. He was seen driving a white SUV.
“Kaufman County Employees do not solicit or collect money,” stated the department. “You should confirm their employment by asking for their Kaufman County Identification Card.”
