The Kaufman County Precinct 2 Constables Office, Forney Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety's Auto Theft Task Force, Dallas County Sheriff's Office Task Force, Irving Police Department's Auto Theft Task Force, and the Texas Game Wardens were among the agencies that assisted.
Precinct 2 Constable Jason Johnson says today's raid at TNA Marina, located at 10758 U.S. Highway 80 in Forney, was in connection with a large theft ring — centered around the theft of, among other things, boats, vehicles, trailers, welders, air compressors, and appliances, construction materials, and lumber from houses under construction in the area.
Police raided a suspected theft storage location in Irving, Texas, where one man was arrested. He was charged by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office with theft between $30,000 and $150,000. Bond information was not available at the time of press.
Warrants have been filed for several other individuals at large. Police have not identified those individuals.
