βOn August 2, 2016, at 06:30 a.m., the Terrell Police Department SWAT Team and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 844 Betty Drive,β Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom stated in a Tuesday afternoon press release.
Arrested were 32-year-old Max Culpepper, 35-year-old Amanda Tucker, and 27-year-old Linsey Emerson.
Sansom says various drug paraphernalia items, including glass pipes, plastic baggies, digital scales, and rolling papers, were found inside the home and a vehicle parked in the backyard.
A baggie in the vehicle tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. A purse located next to Tucker, which contained her Texas identification card, also contained a baggie containing a substance which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The purse also contained other drug paraphernalia and three baggies of Diazepam.
Emerson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Tucker was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
Culpepper, who allegedly resisted officers during his arrest, is charged with resisting arrest, search, or transport, and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams. Culpepper also had an active class C warrant at the time of his arrest.
Two nine-year-old boys were at the residence at the time of the raid and were transferred into the custody of another adult known to Culpepper, according to Sansom.
Narcotics investigators also obtained information Culpepper was obtaining stolen property at his residence, according to Sansom. An additional search warrant was obtained by Terrell Police Department detectives who located a stolen drill and motorcycle frame. As of 1:47 p.m., Sansom says detectives were still at the residence investigating the theft case.
