KEMP, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s office and the Texas Rangers are investigating a suspicious death in Kemp overnight.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s department responded to a call on County Road 4036. Upon arrival, officers found an elderly man deceased in his vehicle according to Sgt. Jolie Stewart with the sheriff’s department.
inForney.com has confirmed with law enforcement officials that the victim sustained two fatal gun shot wounds. The victim has been identified, but officials have not yet released a name.
Officials say there are no known suspects at this time.
