FORNEY, Texas — A stolen truck was recovered after a reported burglary of a vehicle in Forney on Wednesday night.
At approximately 10 p.m., the Forney Police Department responded to the 600 block of Cedar Street after a 911 call of a burglary of a vehicle in progress. One of the burglary victims chased the suspect from the area on foot and later in a vehicle to an area off Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 near Bradley Circle.
From there, the alleged suspect took the truck off the roadway and into a pasture where he ditched the truck near a tree line south of FM 1641 and west of Bradley Circle. The Forney Police Department arrived on scene and cleared the vehicle. The suspect had fled on foot and remains at large.
The truck was reported stolen out of the Dallas Police Department earlier this month and was later impounded.
