A suspect has been arrested in a police chase that entered the south side of Forney at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Friday night, June 21, 2013.
A spokesperson with the Department of Public Safety said their troopers were initiating a traffic stop on an individual for speeding when the suspect then fled and failed to stop for their troopers. Troopers lost sight of the suspect near Windy Lane and FM 741 in Forney, Texas, so additional units and a DPS helicopter were requested to aid in the search.
The spokesperson said the suspect was not immediately located and the search was called off. Troopers were able to obtain enough identifying information from the vehicle to make an arrest over the weekend. The search was said to have lasted around 45 minutes.
The suspect's name has not been released at this time nor has the location where the suspect was eventually arrested.
