CRANDALL, Texas — A suspicious person call early Saturday morning in Crandall yielded three arrests and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
At approximately 5:45 a.m., the Crandall Police Department received a call of a suspicious person in the 1300 block of westbound U.S. Highway 175, according to Crandall Police Department Chief Dean Winters.
Upon arrival, officers located a 2007 Chevrolet pickup trucks with three individuals inside. A check of the vehicle determined it was reported stolen out of Irving, Texas.
During a search of the vehicle, incident arrest, Winters says officers located methamphetamine, cocaine, a firearm, and property the individuals admitted to stealing from an unknown WalMart location.
32-year-old Jeremy Vasquez, pictured middle, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by felon with bonds of $25,000 and $75,000, respectively. 31-year-old Cortney Harris, pictured left, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 less than one gram and unlawful possession of a firearm by felon on bonds of $25,000 and $75,000, respectively. 20-year-old Angelica Martinez was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams and unlawful possession of a firearm by felon with bonds of $25,000 and $75,000, respectively.
Area WalMart locations were contacted but none reported thefts of similar property, according to Winters.
