Terrell drug raid yields four arrests and seizure of marijuana, cash

TERRELL, Texas β€” A drug raid on a narcotics search warrant in Terrell on Thursday morning yielded four arrests and the seizure of marijuana, cash, paraphernalia, and other drugs.

Two of those arrested were arrested earlier this month during a traffic stop in Forney in which 1.4 pounds of marijuana and over $2,000 in cash was seized from their vehicle.

At approximately 6 a.m., on Thursday, September 22, 2016, the Terrell Police Department Narcotics Unit, the Terrell SWAT team, and the Forney Police Department SWAT team executed the search warrant at 99 Howard Street in Terrell, Texas, according to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom.

After knocking and announcing the search warrant, officers simultaneously entered the main residence and an inhabited shed in the backyard, according to Sansom.

Two gallon-sized ZipLock bags, containing marijuana and paraphernalia, were found hidden beneath a plastic bag in a trash can which was located next to an air mattress were two of the suspects were sleeping β€” 21-year-old Tommy Stewart and 20-year old Alexis Oliver.

Both Oliver and Stewart the two suspects who were arrested earlier this month in Forney during the traffic stop.

Officers also located 20 Alprazolam pills inside the residence in a non-labeled prescription bottle as well as three marijuana roaches, half of a white pill, and several small baggies commonly used to distribute cocaine or other illegal drugs, according to Sansom.

Stewart, Oliver, 44-year-old Mattie Hooper, and 43-year-old Gary Gray were arrested and each charged with possession of marijuana equal to or greater than four ounces and less than five pounds and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

Oliver was also arrested on an active warrant for possession of a dangerous drug.

Police seized the narcotics, $710 in U.S. currency, and an Emerson flat-screen television.
