TERRELL, Texas — A Terrell man who is awaiting trial for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle was again arrested Wednesday night and charged with driving while intoxicated, nearly a year after the deadly crash, according to Kaufman County jail records.

60-year-old Kyle Lee Bradshaw, of Terrell, Texas, was arrested last night after a traffic stop along Interstate 20 near Terrell. He was booked into the Kaufman County Jail and is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Bradshaw was out on bond and awaiting trial for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle after the deadly wrong-way crash in Forney on May 30, 2017, which resulted in the death of 57-year-old Gary Don Thorp of Garland, Texas.

In the May 2017 incident, Bradshaw was alleged to be intoxicated when he entered the westbound exit ramp to U.S. Highway 80 near Lowes, while traveling eastbound, and struck two motorcyclists — a father, identified as Thorp, and his son.

According to Kaufman County records, Bradshaw was scheduled for an open plea hearing on July 7, 2018, in his intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle case.

A motion was filed earlier today to hold his initial bond, which was set at $200,000, as insufficient.
