Terrell man killed, another injured in Mesquite Twin Peaks shooting

MESQUITE, Texas — Two Terrell, Texas, men were shot early Saturday morning, November 21, 2015, outside of the Twin Peaks Restaurant in Mesquite, Texas — killing one and injuring the other.

MESQUITE, Texas — Two Terrell, Texas, men were shot early Saturday morning, November 21, 2015, outside of the Twin Peaks Restaurant in Mesquite, Texas — killing one and injuring the other.

According to the Mesquite Police Department, officers responded to the Twin Peaks Restaurant located at 18995 LBJ Freeway at approximately 1:16 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, officers found two gunshot victims in the parking lot.

Mesquite Police Department Sergeant Joe Smith says 35-year-old Ahmand Williams of Terrell, Texas, was one of the two gunshot victims. Williams was transported to Dallas Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 28-year-old Anthony Cole, also of Terrell, was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he was treated and released.

Police located and arrested 25-year-old Devoris Arnold of Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 2015, and charged him with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
