Terrell Police Department investigating Monday afternoon stabbing

TERRELL, Texas – The Terrell Police Department is investigating a stabbing which occurred just after noon on Monday, September 8, 2014.

TERRELL, Texas – The Terrell Police Department is investigating a stabbing which occurred just after noon on Monday, September 8, 2014.

According to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom, police were called at approximately 12:35 p.m. by a female who fled a home in the 100 block of Sandlewood Drive in Terrell, Texas, after being stabbed by a male subject.

Terrell police officers arrived at the location of the assault and made contact with two males inside the residence. A 55-year-old male and a 66-year-old male exited the home under police commands. The female, 31, was located a couple doors down from the offense.

The 66-year-old male sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to Sansom. The other male did not have visible injuries. The 66-year-old male and the 31-year-old female are being treated at two different area hospitals.

Both males are residence at the location of the offense, according to Sansom, and the woman was reportedly a guest.

Police are still investigating why the incident occurred. Charges are anticipated soon, stated Sansom.
