TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking the public's assistance locating a man wanted on two outstanding warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking the public's assistance locating a man wanted on two outstanding warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Being sought is 30-year-old Jose Muro-Ortega, a Hispanic male. Muro-Ortega is known to use the alias of Raymond Casias Hernandez and has in his possession a counterfeit Louisiana ID with his photo bearing that name, according to police.
Muro-Ortega was last known to be driving a white, lifted 2005 Ford F-150 bearing Texas license plate No. MLY5946. The truck has FX4 decals on the rear quarter panels, dark trim along the bottom of the truck, oversized off-road tires, dark-colored wheels, a brush/push guard on the front, and an LED off-road light across the width of the roof.
"It is unknown if Muro-Ortega has any weapons, but he is aware of his warrants," stated the department. " He has gone into hiding and is believed to be in the Kaufman, Ellis or Dallas County area. Muro-Ortega also has family members and associates in Angelina County, Lufkin in particular."
Police say Muro-Ortegaa's victim was a female family member under the age of 14.
