TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a burglary of a vehicle suspect who stole a purse from a vehicle at Buc-ee’s last week.

TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a burglary of a vehicle suspect who stole a purse from a vehicle at Buc-ee’s last week.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Buc-ee’s travel center on Interstate 20 in Terrell, Texas.

Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom says the suspect first opened the victim’s passenger side door while she was pumping gas on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The suspect left the victim’s door open just slightly and returned to his vehicle where he watched and waited from a distance until the victim left the vehicle to enter the store. Once the victim entered the store, the suspect returned to the unsecured door which he had left open and stole the purse, according to Sansom.

The suspect is described by police as a young black male, in his 20s, approximately 6’2” tall, with a thin build. He was seen driving a newer-model Chrysler 200 which survelliance video captured a partial tag of *3M057* with the "*" indicating the unidentified characters.
