Three arrested after high-speed pursuit with stolen vehicle from Forney to Balch Springs

FORNEY, Texas — Three people were arrested after a high-speed chase with a stolen vehicle from Forney to Balch Springs.

FORNEY, Texas — Three people were arrested after a high-speed chase with a stolen vehicle from Forney to Balch Springs.

Forney police officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Lowe's parking when it fled the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle fled southbound on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 to Interstate 20, west westbound at speeds reported in excess of 100 miles per hour, and wrecked in the area of the three-way interchange of Interstate Highway 635, Interstate 20, and U.S. Highway 175 in Balch Springs.

Two of the vehicle's occupants attempted to flee on foot and were quickly apprehended. A third was also arrested.

inForney.com readers reported the vehicle was a red pickup truck.

A check of the vehicle's license plate revealed the vehicle was reported stolen. Police are also investigating whether property inside the vehicle was stolen.

All three suspects have not been identified at the time of press and are awaiting book-in at the Forney Police Department jail.
