According to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, approximately 10 vehicle burglaries were reported over the span of two weeks in the Windmill Farms and Devonshire communities north of Forney.

On August 2, 2019, the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office released images from Walmart surveillance video where the three allegedly used a stolen credit card, which was obtained during the burglaries.

The sheriff's office credits social media with aiding in identifying the alleged suspects as 21-year-old Donald Bailey of Dallas, 20-year-old Lawrence Davis of Dallas, and 17-year-old Adrian Nichols of Forney.

Bailey was arrested on August 7, 2019, and booked into the Kaufman County Jail on three Kaufman County charges for burglary of a vehicle, engaging in organized criminal activity, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, and three additional charges for burglary of a vehicle out of Dallas County, Ellis County, and Grand Prairie. He is being held on bonds totaling $72,500.
