MESQUITE, Texas β A tip from the public led to the arrest of three juveniles in a recent criminal mischief case at a Mesquite church.
According to the Mesquite Police Department, around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at least three suspects damaged a light and surveillance camera at the New Hope Baptist Church on Newsom Road.
The following night, just after midnight, persons with a similar description returned and spray painted racial slurs and sexual images on the church.
βOn July 26, with the help of a tip from the public, Investigators identified all three suspects in this case,β stated Mesquite Police Department spokesperson Lt. Brian Parrish. βThe suspects were contacted and they confessed to the offenses.β
All three suspects are juveniles and face charges for criminal mischief.
