FORNEY, Texas — A traffic stop on early Wednesday morning yielded over five pounds of marijuana, 90 grams of narcotics, and two arrests for the Forney Police Department.
FORNEY, Texas — A traffic stop on early Wednesday morning yielded over five pounds of marijuana, 90 grams of narcotics, and two arrests for the Forney Police Department.
Just after midnight, a Forney police officer stopped a 1997 Buick, occupied twice, on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 near Gateway Boulevard. Arrested were 57-year-old Jimmie King of Dallas, Texas, and 58-year-old Tommy Strange of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Officers seized 5.077 pounds of marijuana and 93.1 grams of narcotics.
Both were charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 3/4 with bonds of $35,000 each and possession of marijuana greater than five pounds and less than 50 pounds with bonds set at $15,000 each. Strange also had an outstanding warrant out of McKinney, Texas.
King and Strange have both been transferred to the Kaufman County Jail.
