Two airlifted after police chase ends in rollover crash

TERRELL, Texas — Two people were airlifted after fleeing police, losing control, and overturning on State Highway 205 north of Terrell on Thursday afternoon.

TERRELL, Texas — Two people were airlifted after fleeing police, losing control, and overturning on State Highway 205 north of Terrell on Thursday afternoon.

Police were making contact with two people in a vehicle after a reported theft offense at Walmart, Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom told inForney.com.

The vehicle initially stopped for the police officer but then fled before losing control and overturning in a private drive in the 16000 block of SH 205, according to Sansom.

The two alleged theft suspects were both ejected from the vehicle and later transported by Careflite medical helicopter to Methodist Dallas Medical Center — one in critical condition and the other with non-life threatening injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.

The Terrell Police Department is investigating the theft offense, according to Sansom.
