FORNEY, Texas — Two people were arrested on Sunday afternoon following a brief high-speed pursuit from Forney to Terrell.
FORNEY, Texas — Two people were arrested on Sunday afternoon following a brief high-speed pursuit from Forney to Terrell.
The pursuit began at approximately 3:45 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 on what began as an attempted traffic stop by a Forney Police Department officer.
The vehicle, a 2006 red Dodge Challenger, failed to yield to the officer and began to flee at speeds reported at 110 miles per hour.
The vehicle fled on eastbound U.S. Highway 80, took the U.S. Highway 80 exit at Spur 557 into Terrell, and continued past the State Highway 205 intersection before coming to a stop.
The Terrell Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety joined the Forney Police Department on a felony stop of the vehicle.
A male, of Terrell, Texas, and a female were arrested. The male was wanted on a warrant out of Terrell and is also facing a felony evading charge and the woman will likely faces charges for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
