Two arrested in connection with aggravated robbery, beating of man in apartment parking lot in Forney

FORNEY, Texas — Two men were arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery of a man on January 14, 2018, and are being held in the Kaufman County Jail on $100,000 bonds.

FORNEY, Texas — Two men were arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery of a man on January 14, 2018, and are being held in the Kaufman County Jail on $100,000 bonds.

Early Sunday morning, a male victim sought treatment at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas, after being held at gun point, robbed, and beaten in an apartment parking lot in the 1100 block of North Gateway Boulevard in Forney, Texas.

Police responded to the hospital and interviewed the victim who had sustained numerous lacerations to his face.

An arrest warrant for aggravated robbery was issued for 20-year-old Phillip Anthony Ratcliff. At 3:30 p.m., that same day, Forney Police Department police officers executed the arrest warrant at the Gateway Cedars Apartments and took Ratcliff into custody.

21-year-old Darien Wren was also taken into custody for his role in the aggravated robbery.

Ratcliff, Wren, and two others, identified as 18-year-old Gabrielle Daniels and 21-year-old Keith Myers, were also charged with possession of marijuana. Daniels and Myers posted bond and were released from the Forney Justice Center.

Ratcliff and Wren were transported to Kaufman County Jail where they remain jailed on $100,000 bonds for aggravated robbery and $750 bonds for possession of marijuana.
