FORNEY, Texas — Two men were arrested and another is being sought after a brief foot pursuit overnight.
A Forney Police Department officer observed a suspicious vehicle traveling south on Pinson Road just after midnight Monday, April 20, 2015. The truck turned onto West Broad and then onto Crestline Drive, a cul-de-sac, and went off road — striking a utility pole.
The officer observed the vehicle strike the utility pole and engaged in a traffic stop when the driver of the vehicle fled on foot south towards the Union Pacific railroad tracks. The two passengers were arrested.
The two males who were arrested face possible charges for public intoxication. Police believe they have identified the driver of the vehicle.
Oncor was called to the scene to repair the utility pole struck by the suspect’s truck. Power outages were reported in the area.
