POST OAK BEND, Texas — Two burglary suspects remain at large after police say they attempted to burglarize a home, shot at a homeowner, and fled on foot — resulting in a two-hour manhunt in Post Oak Bend.
POST OAK BEND, Texas — Two burglary suspects remain at large after police say they attempted to burglarize a home, shot at a homeowner, and fled on foot — resulting in a two-hour manhunt in Post Oak Bend.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a homeowner about two suspects attempting to burglarize their home. When confronted, at least one of the suspects shot at the homeowner an unknown amount of times. There are not reports of injuries to the homeowner.
For more than two hours, police searched an area southeast of County Road 279 and northeast of Farm-to-Market (FM) 987 in Post Oak Bend which is located north of Kaufman, Texas. It’s unknown if the suspects are stilled armed.
A Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter aided in the search.
Police called the search off at approximately 9:40 p.m. Police remained in the area.
