Two Dallas teens arrested in stolen truck, police investigating vehicle burglaries

FORNEY, Texas — Two Dallas teens were arrested in a stolen truck last week in the Grayhawk subdivision of south Forney as police continue to investigate several vehicle burglaries in the area.

FORNEY, Texas — Two Dallas teens were arrested in a stolen truck last week in the Grayhawk subdivision of south Forney as police continue to investigate several vehicle burglaries in the area.

19-year-old Dominic D’Aaron Stafford and 17-year-old David Antoine Blackmon, both of Dallas, Texas, were arrested on the morning of May 31, 2016, after a homeowner in the area called 911 about a suspicious vehicle on Little Gull Drive, according to an incident report obtained by inForney.com.

Arriving officers ran the vehicle’s license plate which was reported stolen out of Fort Worth, Texas, according to police. One of the suspects attempted to flee police on foot but was apprehended.

Police are also investigating a series of vehicle burglaries in the Grayhawk neighborhood. While arresting Stafford and Blackmon, personal property was located but not linked to the Grayhawk burglaries.

Blackmon was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and is being held in the Kaufman County Jail on a $5,000 bond. Stafford is being held on a $25,000 bond for theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000, and a $5,000 bond for failure to identify. Stafford is also being held on an additional $3,000 in bonds for two theft warrants out of Dallas County and is being held without bond on a Dallas County warrant for burglary of a habitation.
