SEAGOVILLE, Texas — Two Kemp men are among four arrested in a mid-morning burglary in Seagoville, Texas.
The burglary occurred mid-morning on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in the 700 block of Casa Grande, according to a Seagoville Police Department news release on Wednesday.
“A neighbor witnessed individuals exiting the victimized home carrying duffel bags and long guns which they loaded into an awaiting vehicle parked in the roadway and fled the neighborhood,” according to the release.
The neighbor was able to provide a detailed description of the suspects and the vehicle to police which led them to a home in the 900 block of Murdock Road in southeast Dallas where the four suspects were detained with assistance from the Dallas Police Department.
“This described vehicle was also located in the backyard of this residence,” stated the release.
The vehicle used in the offense was recently stolen in Balch Springs, Texas. The victim’s stolen belongings, which included an AR-15 rifle and shotgun, were located inside the vehicle.
Arrested were 18-year-old Dylan Briggs of Seagoville, 18-year-old Tori Renee McGraw of Dallas, and 23-year-old Cooper Ray Gray and 22-year-old Dalton Blaine Gray, both of Kemp, Texas. Each was charged with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, and police say additional charges are forthcoming.
“One of the suspects was an acquaintance of the victim and had been inside his home on previous occasions,” according to the release.
