SEAGOVILLE, Texas — Two people are suspected at-large following a police pursuit from Kaufman County into Seagoville, Texas, early Saturday morning which resulted in an hour-long manhunt.

At approximately 3:15 a.m., police in Kaufman County began pursuit, for yet to be determined reasons, of a four-door Dodge pickup truck on U.S. Highway 175 in the Crandall area. The truck fled westbound and into Dallas County.

The suspect truck exited the highway at Farm-to-Market (FM) 1389, continued westbound on the service road, and cut through a field just west of Willis Road in Seagoville, Texas. Two people are suspected of bailing out of the vehicle and continuing to flee on foot in a heavily-wooded creek area north of U.S. Highway 175.

Authorities from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Crandall Police Department, and the Seagoville Police Department were aided by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter in search of the two suspects in the area.

At approximately 4:20 a.m., the search was called off by police.

The truck was towed from the scene. This is a developing story.
