TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is investigating two robberies early Monday morning that may have perpetrated by the same suspects.

The victims in both cases were assaulted — one of which was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At approximately 3:37 a.m., the Terrell Police Department responded to the first robbery in the 700 block of West Grove Street.

The victim reported two black males, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing white T-shirts, struck him in the face several times and stole his wallet which contained cash and his bank credit card. A white female was with the two male suspects and was seen wearing a red shirt.

The victim suffered injuries to his jaw and a small visible laceration on the right side of his face and lip. He was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman with non-life threatening injuries.

An hour later, at approximately 4:49 a.m., police responded to Walmart at 1900 West Moore Avenue for a white male who had been assaulted by two black males in the parking lot.

"Nothing was taken in this offense, but robbery was the apparent motive," stated Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom.

Authorities believe the offense involved the same two suspects from the earlier robbery.

One of the suspects was wearing a blue tracksuit with shorts and possibly a blue bandana. The other suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, tan shorts, and what was believed to be a straw hat.

Both were seen arriving and leaving in a white Chevrolet Malibu with one witness advising they may have left in a tan Dodge.
