U.S. Marshals apprehend man in Smith County facing Kaufman County charges for indecency with a child by sexual contact, sexual assault of child

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a 48-year-old Murchison, Texas, man in Smith County on Tuesday who is facing charges in Kaufman County for indecency with a child by sexual contact and sexual assault of a child.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a 48-year-old Murchison, Texas, man in Smith County on Tuesday who is facing charges in Kaufman County for indecency with a child by sexual contact and sexual assault of a child.

The charges for indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to Kaufman County records, stem back to July 2011.

48-year-old Michael Moore of Murchison, Texas, was later indicted for indecency with a child by sexual contact in November 2012. Court records indicate Moore has undergone numerous pre-trial hearings and announcements in the case since his indictment.

Moore was arrested in Anderson County on similar charges but released from the Anderson County Jail before posting bond on the Kaufman County charges. An arrest warrant was issued for Moore's arrest on a new sexual assault of a child case in which a $250,000 bond was issued.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Allen on Tuesday where he was booked into the Smith County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Allen was transferred to the Kaufman County Jail yesterday where his bond remains the same.
