U.S. Marshals arrest Terrell man for agg assault that caused Kaufman ISD lockdowns

Ladarius Ward, 21, of Terrell, was arrested in conjunction with an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case that resulted in three Kaufman ISD campuses to go into lockdown mode. Ward pointed a gun at, and threatened to kill, another man who tried to retrieve his stolen vehicle from him on November 28, 2012, at the Willow Bend Apartments in Kaufman.

Ward pointed a gun at, and threatened to kill, another man who tried to retrieve his stolen vehicle from him on November 28, 2012, at the Willow Bend Apartments in Kaufman.

Kaufman High School, Norman Junior High School, and the Alternative Learning Center campuses border the Willow Bend Apartments and were placed on lockdown after Ward was believed to have been held up in one of the apartments.

After a Crime Stoppers tip was received, U.S. Marshals apprehended Ward in Houston, Texas. Ward is being held on a $200,000 bond in the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Jail.
