HEARTLAND, Texas — The Crandall Police Department is seeking information on a daytime home burglary which occurred in Heartland on Saturday, September 5, 2015.
Crandall Police Department Interim Police Chief Billy Kilgore said they are seeking information on two suspects wanted in connection with a daytime home burglary on Lake Trails in Heartland over the weekend.
Home surveillance video, seen below, captured two suspects enter the home by kicking in the back door. They were later seen exiting the home carrying a safe and a Playstation 4, according to the homeowner on Facebook.
The two suspects reportedly used food to lure the family’s dogs away from the back door where they gained entry. One suspect was seen holding a metal bar.
Video surveillance also captured a picture of a beige-colored, four-door 2003-05 Buick LeSabre with paper tags in the area at the time of the burglary.
Kilgore says one of the individuals was wearing what appear to be Air Jordan tennis shoes. Kilgore also believes, based on the video surveillance, one of the suspects pulled a handgun from his pocket before kicking in the back door and entering the residence.
The Crandall Police Department is also investigating an after-hours burglary of a pharmacy in Crandall where two individuals threw a brick through the glass door to gain entry where they stole prescription muscle relaxers.
At this point, Kilgore does not believe the two incidents are related, however, he says, both remain under investigation.
