FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is seeking information in a purse snatching which occurred at a local business earlier this month.
The alleged robbery occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Tokyo Harbor restaurant on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 just west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 548.
In surveillance video provided to inForney.com, a woman is seen entering the restaurant and later walking past the bar area and grabbing what appears to be a purse from behind the counter. The victim, speaking to inForney.com, said her money, identification cards, banking cards, and other valuables totaling $3,000, were stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Forney Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (972) 564-7607. Additionally, anyone who would wish to remain anonymous, can place a tip with the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at 1(877) 847-7522. Information leading to an arrest may lead to an award.
