KAUFMAN, Texas — A wanted man was captured Thursday morning following an hours-long manhunt in Kaufman.
At approximately 5:05 a.m., police responded to a residence on Main Street in reference to a domestic disturbance, Kaufman Police Department Chief Dana Whitaker told inForney.com.
The man involved in the incident had fled the location but was identified as a man wanted on a felony warrant for dangerous drugs.
Whitaker says the Kaufman Police Department, with the assistance of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Kaufman County Constables, Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and a helicopter, arrested the man at 8:14 a.m. in the 1300 block of Main Street.
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
