TERRELL, Texas β A wanted parolee was arrested yesterday on gun and drug charges in Terrell.
Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom says narcotics investigators and patrol officers were conducting surveillance in the 300 block of East McCoulskey Street at approximately 6 p.m. when officers observed Freddy Patrick Muambila sitting in a white four-door Chevrolet Cavalier.
Muambila was known to officers to have an active parole warrant. He was taken into custody on the warrant without incident.
During a search incident arrest, police seized a Zustava 9 mm semi-automatic pistol with nine live rounds in its magazine, suspected methamphetamine in a clear plastic baggie, a glass pipe smoking device used to smoke methamphetamine, baggies, Xanex pills, and a digital scale, according to Sansom.
Police also say the Cavalier and $125 were seized.
Muambila was arrested on the parole warrant and now faces charges for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than one gram and less than four grams, possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
